NEWS RELEASE
Jupiter Police Department
Chief Frank Kitzerow
Tuesday, July 13, 2010
We are still experiencing a number
of auto and residential burglaries involving
unlocked vehicles and residences.
In many cases valuables are left in plain
sight, often presenting opportunities for theft,
otherwise known as victim assisted crimes.
Jupiter Police Officers continue
to make arrests in these cases. On Tuesday, July 13,
2010, at approximately 3:51am, the Jupiter Police
Department received a call from a resident in the
6600 block of Winding Lake Drive (The Shores).
The caller advised that they heard their car
alarm going off and saw two male subjects leaving
the area. Officers responded and discovered several
vehicle burglaries had just occurred. A perimeter
was established where officers located two adults
and one juvenile within the area.
As a result of their investigation
all three subjects were arrested for charges of
loitering and prowling, burglary and resisting an
officer without violence.
